SHIPPING & RETURN POLICY

This Shipping and Return Policy applies to all orders placed through www.avarofiglio.com. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions of Sale and should be read together with them.

1. Shipping Destinations

We ship worldwide. Certain destinations may be excluded due to shipping restrictions or customs regulations; where this is the case, it will be indicated at checkout or in subsequent communication from our team.

2. Shipping Methods and Carriers

Orders are shipped via reputable international express carriers, typically DHL, FedEx, or UPS. All shipments are fully insured until the moment of delivery and require a signature upon receipt.

3. Production and Delivery Times

All Avaro Figlio products are made to order. Production time typically ranges between 1 to 2 weeks from the date of Order Confirmation, depending on the piece and the atelier schedule at the time of order.

Once production is complete, shipping times are typically:

       Italy: 1–3 business days

       European Union: 2–5 business days

       United Kingdom, Switzerland, United States, Canada: 3–7 business days

       Rest of the world: 5–10 business days

Estimated timeframes are indicative and may vary due to factors outside our control, including customs clearance, weather conditions, and carrier delays.

4. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and the value of the order. From time to time we may offer complimentary shipping on certain orders or destinations; any such offer will be communicated on the Site.

5. Duties, Taxes, and Customs Fees

Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are the Customer’s responsibility and are not included in the price of the product or the shipping cost. We recommend contacting your local customs office for information before placing an order.

If a Customer refuses to pay import duties or to accept delivery, any associated return shipping costs, duties, or fees will be deducted from any refund due.

6. Order Tracking

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email with tracking information. You may also contact our team at info@avarofiglio.com or via WhatsApp for updates on your order.

7. Right of Withdrawal — Made-to-Order Exemption

All Avaro Figlio products are made to order and produced to each Customer’s individual specifications, including measurements, colour, fabric, and customisation details.

In accordance with Article 59(1)(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Article 59 of the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005), the 14-day statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. Accordingly, we are unable to accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations of made-to-order pieces once production has begun.

This limitation does not affect your statutory rights in respect of defective or non-conforming goods, as set out below.

8. Defective or Non-Conforming Products

If, upon receipt, you believe your garment is defective, damaged in transit, or does not conform to the order you placed, please contact us at info@avarofiglio.com within 7 days of delivery, providing:

       Your order number.

       A clear description of the issue.

       Photographs clearly showing the defect or non-conformity.

In accordance with Articles 128–135 of the Italian Consumer Code, eligible Customers are entitled to have the product repaired or replaced free of charge, or — where repair or replacement is not possible or proportionate — to a price reduction or the termination of the contract.

Items returned as defective will be inspected upon receipt. Returns that are found not to be defective, or that show signs of wear, alteration, or misuse, will not be accepted and will be returned to the Customer at the Customer’s expense.

9. How to Return a Defective Item

Do not return any item without first contacting us and receiving written confirmation and return instructions. Returns made without prior authorisation cannot be processed.

Once a return is authorised:

       Items must be returned in their original condition, unworn and unaltered, with all original tags, packaging, and accompanying documentation.

       We will provide a prepaid return label or return instructions depending on the destination.

       Return shipments are at our risk until delivery to our atelier, provided you follow the return instructions we provide.

10. Refunds

Where a return is approved, refunds are issued to the original method of payment within 14 days of our receipt and inspection of the returned item. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take additional time for the refund to appear on your statement.

11. Alterations and After-Sales Care

Given the made-to-order nature of our pieces, we take exceptional care to ensure correct fit. If minor adjustments are required after receipt, please contact us at info@avarofiglio.com to discuss available options. Alteration services are handled on a case-by-case basis and any associated costs will be agreed with the Customer in advance.

12. Lost or Damaged Shipments

If your shipment is lost in transit or arrives visibly damaged, please contact us at info@avarofiglio.com immediately, and in any case within 7 days of the expected delivery date or the date of receipt. We will open an investigation with the carrier and keep you informed throughout the process.
